“Seeing my students succeed,” says Mr. Timotius, “nothing gives a teacher more joy than that.” Having taught for around two decades now, there’s a lot of things in the education industry that Mr. Timotius has experienced. More specifically, dealing with college students and the struggles of being the one that hands out assignments.

After just arriving to the campus, Mr. Timotius sits down in his office and begins checking his daily planner. Following that, he makes a mental note of where he will need to be and what the class is going to be about. “It’s always important to make sure that we’re on top of our tasks,” he says. “After all, if the professors aren’t diligent, how can we expect our students such?”

Seeing him teach the class in a relaxed yet professional manner brings a calm studying environment for the students. This is also apparent in how peaceful the class is. Mr. Timotius is also not afraid to join in in lighthearted banter with the students.

When asked for his motivations for teaching, Mr. Timotius only gave a simple answer. “The opportunity arose and I took it. I stayed because I enjoy teaching. Of course, it isn’t without its own hardships. However, I try my best to be someone that my students look up to and a teacher that they would look back fondly upon graduating.”

At the end of the day, Mr. Timotius stays at his office to check assignments among other things. He then proceeds to overview the next day’s agenda before heading home. He also usually brings any excess work he needs at home.

It’s surely an experience seeing how a teacher does outside of class. There are people that only think of teachers as an evil menace of impossible assignments and unforgiving deadlines. However, not all teachers are like that. They teach from the bottom of their heart for their love of their students. The only thing they want in return is students to succeed and prosper.
