Why is the world never on my side? I dread everything the world has to offer for me. Everyone around me seems to hate me and I can’t seem to do anything right. There, Clarisse questions Guy about life, his job, and what it means to live. From that point onwards, Guy keeps meeting her on a day-to-day basis.     On another night, Guy came home to find his wife lying lifelessly down on the bed.        As society progresses, our sense of individuality does as well. Connecting with other people involves a back and forth of personalities clashing. Sometimes, we need to sacrifice a bit of ourselves to be able to match with the person we’re talking to.      What we usually forget is that our sense of individuality shouldn’t be brought down by other people. What we are isn’t something to be taken granted. After all, if our sense of who we are is flimsy, we wouldn’t be able to care for ourselves in the long run.      Though losing sight of one’s self seems scary, it isn’t very complicated to solidify ourselves in our minds. That’s where the act of respecting one’s selves is necessary. By knowing what we want, the things that make us uncomfortable, our personal morals, etc, we can mentally protect ourselves from being swept in social norms that don’t match with our own sense. Story
